Terra C. MacLeod and Roz Ryan will return to the Broadway production of Chicago as Velma Kelly and Mama Morton, respectively. They join the cast May 7 at the Ambassador Theatre. Current stars Amra-Faye Wright (Velma) and Carol Woods (Mama Morton) play their final performance May 6.
Set in the 1920s, Chicago follows Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover. Deseperate to avoid conviction, she hires Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer much to the dismay of her rival cellmate Velma Kelly. Directed by Walter Bobbie, the Tony-winning revival is now in its 15th year.
MacLeod's stage credits include Blood Brothers, The Producers and Kiss of the Spiderwoman. Ryan's Broadway credits include Ain't Misbehavin', Dreamgirls, The Pajama Game and A Christmas Carol.
